2012: Traditional Instruments and Citizen Diplomacy

Background

The third edition of the Festival saw the intervention of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Franco Frattini, the Mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno, the President of the Provincial Administration of Rome, Nicola Zingaretti, and was proposed as a story of dynamics and balances of power, between wars and peace negotiations, secret negotiations and great events. An eye to the past and a clear inclination towards the future for an appointment dedicated to experts and professionals, without neglecting the needs of the general public, especially the younger generations.

We want to offer young people a knowledge of the training courses that help them find work in international institutions and NGOs, while another declared objective is to offer an unprecedented and stimulating picture of how the art of diplomacy has influenced the history of humanity and , even today, it maintains a fundamental role in defining its future.
More than 50 years after the signing of the Treaty that gave rise to the European dream, Rome continues its path along the roads of confrontation and diplomacy.
