Andrea Canepari

Andrea Canepari is an Italian diplomat, former Ambassador to the Dominican Republic and Consul General in Philadelphia. Promoter of synergies between foreign communities and Italy, he promoted public diplomacy initiatives, for which in 2016 he received the biennial Global Philadelphia Award from Temple University and the Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from the American University of Rome. He is co-editor of “The Italian legacy in Washington, D.C.: architecture, design, art and culture” and editor of “The Italian legacy in the Dominican Republic: History, Architecture, Economy and Society” published by Skira in 2007 and Allemandi respectively and St. Joseph University Press in 2021.

He graduated in Political Economy from Bocconi and in Law from Parma with the Master of Laws (LL. M.), University of Pennsylvania.
