Previously, he taught European Union Law and International Law at the University of Eastern Piedmont and the University of Valle d'Aosta, where he also served as Pro-Rector, Dean of the Faculty, and Director of the Department. He was Vice-President of the Italian Society of International and European Union Law (SIDI) from 2013 to 2014 and Director of the Interuniversity Center on the Law of International Economic Organizations (CIDOIE) from 2009 to 2015.He is currently director of the Master's Degree in Global Strategy and Security (SGS), organized by the University of Turin and the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CASD). He is the author of over one hundred scientific publications (including two monographs and ten edited volumes). His most recent publications include M. Vellano, A. Miglio (eds.), Common Security and Defense of the European Union, Wolters Kluwer, 2023.In 2018, he was awarded the Prix Spécial FFA – Turgot de la Francophonie for his work "Global Ethics, Good Governance and International Economic Law," directed by L. Manderieux and M. Vellano. A graduate of the Centre for Study and Research in International Law and International Relations of the Académie de Droit International de l’Haye (1997), he has held and continues to hold conferences and lectures on the institutional aspects of the European Union and its external relations at Italian and foreign universities.A lawyer, he is an expert in international law and European Union law.He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the CSF Foundation since 2022.
