Hunger and social inequalities are not only global challenges: they also manifest themselves within our societies, in forms that are often less visible but no less serious. Food poverty, social exclusion, territorial imbalances and lack of access to essential services continue to affect millions of people, even in high-income countries. In this context, combating hunger and inequalities becomes a matter of social justice, national cohesion and human dignity.
This event aims to delve deeper into the link between food security, social equity and public policies, analyzing existing tools and the actions necessary to address new forms of vulnerability. Through the intervention of experts, institutions, the third sector and representatives of local communities, we will discuss the right to food, welfare systems, social agriculture, food education and the role of fiscal and redistributive policies.
