Gianluca Passarelli is full professor of Political Science at Sapienza University of Rome. He deals with Europe, the United States, presidents of the Republic, parties, electoral systems, elections and voting behavior. Recent publications include United States of Europe (Egea 2024), Electing the President. The United States from Roosevelt to today (Marsilio 2024; 3rd ed); The President of the Republic in Italy (Giappichelli 2022; edition in Serbian Croatian), Preferential Voting Systems. Influence on Intra-Party Competition and Voting Behavior (Palgrave Macmillan 2020), La Lega di Salvini (il Mulino 2018, with D. Tuorto) and The Presidentialization of Political Parties (Palgrave Macmillan 2015). Fulbright Distinguished Chair University of Pittsburgh.
