Valentina Rita Scotti is Associate Professor in Comparative Public Law at the European Law and Governance School of the European Public Law Organization. She is also Permanent Visiting Professor at the Academia Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Artega, Mexico). Previously, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Law School of the Ko\u00e7 University of Istanbul, where she has hold corses in \u2018Introduction to Constitutional Law\u2019 and \u2018Gender-based discrimination and Law\u2019. At Ko\u00e7 University she is currently member of the Center for Gender Studies (Ko\u00e7-Kam). Valentina Rita Scotti is also a member of the Centro Studi sul Parlamento \u2013 CESP of the LUISS \u2013 Guido Carli. At LUISS she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Political Science and as an adjunct professor in Comparative Public Law and History and Institutions of Islamic Countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 2018 she is a member of the Executive Board of the Younger Comparativists Committee of the American Society of Constitutional Law and is a co-Chair of the Research Group \u2018Gender and Constitutions\u2019 of the International Association of Constitutional Law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among her research interest there are the evolution of constitutionalism in Turkey, legal cross-fertilization, the protection of fundamental rights in the Mediterranean countries and the protection of gender equality. On these topics she has extensively published. She is also the author of a monograph entitled \u2018Il Costituzionalismo in Turchia fra identit\u00e0 nazionale e circolazione dei modelli\u2019 (Maggioli, 2014) and of the volume \u2018La Turchia di Erdogan\u2019 Universale Paperback – il Mulino (2022). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
