Cybersecurity expert at Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale (Agency for Digital Italy) for the development of the governmental CERT for the Public Administration (CERT-PA). Member (2010-12, 2012-15, 2015-17 and 2017-20) of the Permanent Stakeholders’ Group at ENISA (European Union Agency for Network and Information Security). Member (2015-16, 2017-18) of the Board of Directors at Clusit (national italian association of information security professionals).

Since 1986 he deals with: cryptography and digital data protection; information security governance in complex organizations; digital forensics and computer crimes; cyberterrorism and cyberwarfare; electronic intelligence and counterintelligence; homeland security and protection of critical infrastructures; digital citizenship, privacy and human rights.

Professor on contract at several italian universities, cybersecurity and cybercrime consultant for italian police forces and law-enforcing agencies, official expert of the Criminal Court of Justice of Rome for computer crimes, has been member of the National Security Observatory at Ce.Mi.S.S. (italian Military Center for Strategic Studies) and cooperated with UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) on international projects for contrast to cybercrime and cyberterrorism.
