Giuseppe Mistretta

Background

Giuseppe Mistretta, born in Palermo in 1958, is a diplomatic official, currently Ambassador to Ethiopia, after having been Head of Mission in Angola, and after having spent about 15 years of his profession in Africa. He published in 2002, for the publisher Borla, an ethnic-racial “thriller” entitled “Per Conto del Nero”; in 2010, for the publisher Albatros, a collection of short stories entitled “In the country called Trees”; in 2013, for Gangemi publisher, an essay on historical relations between Angola and Italy entitled Un Ponte Lungo Quattro Secoli. He has collaborated with the newspapers La Repubblica, Il Corriere della Sera, and with the magazine Capital.
