Cecilia Sala is an Italian journalist.
Born in 1995 in Rome, she has worked both in editorial offices and as a freelance journalist, mainly dealing with foreign affairs. In 2015 she began collaborating as a correspondent and reporter with Vice, while attending international economics at Bocconi University in Milan; subsequently she began working with Michele Santoro at Servizio Pubblico on LA7, where she became a professional journalist. Over the years she has collaborated with Vanity Fair, L’Espresso, Rai and Will Media, and worked in the editorial team of Otto e mezzo on LA7. Since November 2019 she has joined the editorial team of Il Foglio.
In 2020, Polvere, a podcast on the murder of Marta Russo, was published by Huffington Post in collaboration with Chiara Lalli. In May 2021 the audio series also becomes a book, Polvere. The Marta Russo Case, published by Mondadori Strade Blu. From 10 January 2022 she becomes the author and voice of a new podcast, Stories, by Chora Media, which tells stories from the world every day.
