Ambassador of Romania to Italy from 2022
She has 20 years of experience in the diplomatic service. She graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, with a specialization in economic cybernetics. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Advanced International Relations at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Internationales – Center d’études diplomatiques et stratégiques in Paris, and the other in Cybernetics, at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics of the Academy of Bucharest economic studies. She also expanded her skills through the postgraduate course in international relations at the Diplomatic Academy in Bucharest and the “Diplomatic Negotiation Practice” course at the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in Paris.
From 2016 to 2022 she represented Romania in the Kingdom of Spain as Ambassador. Before the duties of Ambassador she had assumed the role of Consul General at the Consulate General of Romania in Lyon.
She was Director of the Consular Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consul at the Romanian Embassy in Paris and Coordinator of the Ministry’s Visa Center. As an expert teacher, she held specialization courses on consular matters for the diplomatic and consular staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and trained the consular staff of diplomatic missions and consular offices on the use of the first IT visa management system, whose system analysis laid the foundation of the IT application. She was also part of the expert-level working group in the Justice and Home Affairs format, for the preparation of Romania’s accession to the European Union.
