Riccardo Noury

Spokesperson for Amnesty International Italia since 2003, an organization for the defense of human rights of which he has been a member since 1980.

He wrote “We can’t stand torture” (Rizzoli Libri Illustrati, 2001), “Poems from Guantánamo” (2007), “The head elsewhere” (Infinito Edizioni, 2020), “The same struggle, the same reason” (People Pub, 2020), “Let go of the executioner. The slow end of the death penalty in the USA” (Infinito Edizioni, 2022) and “Qatar 2022. The World Cup of exploitation” (Infinito Edizioni, 2022).

He is co-author of “A capital error” (Edizioni Cultura della pace, 1998) and “Srebrenica. Justice denied” (Infinito Edizioni, 2015). He edited “The Forgotten. Those who did not leave after the pandemic” (Infinito Edizioni, 2020) and “The women of Minsk” (Infinito Edizioni, 2021).

Since 2003 he has been responsible for the Italian edition of Amnesty International’s annual report. He writes, through his blogs, in Corriere della Sera, Fatto Daily, Focus on Africa, Articolo 21 and Pressenza.
