Santiago Miralles Huete has a degree in Law and a diploma in Philosophy. His first diplomatic career began in 1990. From 2015 to 2018 he was the Spanish ambassador in Maputo, accredited to Mozambique and Swaziland. Subsequently, in 2015, he obtained the position of general director of the Casa de América in Madrid. During his diplomatic journey, he held crucial roles, including second-ranking positions at the Spanish embassies in Seoul, San Salvador, Tunisia and The Hague.
