DIRECTOR OF CAPACITY AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, ACN – National Cybersecurity Agency Director for capacity and competence development at the National Cybersecurity Agency. He is on leave from Roma Tre University, where he has been a professor since 1992 and was Pro-Rector of Teaching and Director of the Engineering Department. He graduated in Electronic Engineering from “La Sapienza” University in 1980. He was a researcher at the IASI-CNR in Rome, then an associate professor at the University of Naples and a professor at the University of Rome La Sapienza. He has held positions at the University of Toronto, the University of L’Aquila and Microsoft Research. He has worked on various topics in the field of databases, including relational database theory, databases and the Web, model management and metamodels. He is the founder of the Roma Tre database group, which includes six teachers and various research fellows and students. He was Vice President of the VLDB Endowment and President of the EDBT Association as well as President of the GII, Computer Engineering Group.
