Born on 15 December 1973 in Burghausen; Roman Catholic; single. 1993 higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) at the König-Karlmann-Gymnasium Altötting. Studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich from 1993 to 1997, first state law examination in 1997, second state law examination in 2000. Lawyer since September 2000. 1994 to 2003 district chairman of the Junge Union, since 1996 town councillor in Neuötting and district councillor in the Altötting district, 1997 to 2019 deputy chairman of the CSU Altötting district association, since 1997 member of the CSU Upper Bavaria district executive, since 2002 deputy parliamentary group chairman of the CSU Altötting district parliamentary group; from 1998 to 2002 youth officer of the town of Neuötting, since 2019 chairman of the CSU Altötting district association. Since 2006, deputy state chairman of the Union of Expellees (UdV), since 2008, member of the executive committee of the Federation of Expellees (BdV) and since 2016, vice-president. From 2007 to 2010 Chairman of the THW Landesvereinigung Bayern e.V., from 2010-2018 President of the THW-Bundesvereinigung e.V., since 2010 Chairman of the Board of the Stiftung Technisches Hilfswerk. Member of the German Bundestag (MP) since 2002. From March 2018 until the end of the 19th parliamentary term, served in the position of Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of the Interior, for Construction and Home Affairs.
