Michael Freeden 

Michael Freeden is an English leading theorist of ideology and a researcher of actual political thinking at various levels of articulation. He is currently a Doctor of Philosophy supervisor in political theory at Oxford University. He has been an Emeritus Professor of Politics at Oxford University, an Emeritus Professorial Fellow at Mansfield College of Oxford, a professor at the University of Nottingham, and a Professorial Research Associate at the University of London. His research has looked into the themes of liberalism and of political ideology and thought. He is the founder and director of the Journal of Political Ideologies. He was awarded the Sir Isaiah Berlin Prize and the Medal for Science from the Institute of Advances Studies of the University of Bologna. His most famous publications include Ideologies and Political Theory (1998), Ideology (2003) and Liberalism (2015).
