Ramon Pacheco Pardo is a prestigious professor who studies International relations, security and political economy of the Korean Peninsula, East Asia and the Indo-Pacific and diplomatic, security and economic relations between Europe and the Korean Peninsula and East Asia. He is an International Relations Professor, Head of the Department of European and International Studies and Regional Envoy for East and South Asia at King’s College of London, KF-VUB Korea Chair at Brussels School of Governance, a researcher at the Center for Strategic and International Studies of Washington and at the Sejong Institute of Seongnam. Most of his studies are dedicated to the two Koreas and he is a chair of the redaction committee of the major international journals about Eastern Asia such as East Asia, the EU-China Observer and the Global Studies Journal. He has participated in international dialogues with South Korea, China, Japan and the United States. He has testified before the European Parliament and consulted and advised NATO, the OECD and the governments of Canada, South Korea, Spain, the UK, the EU and the USA among others.
