Since 2008 Federico Sartori has been the creator and artistic director of La Nueva Ola, the Festival del Cine Español y Latinoamericano in Rome, supported by institutions such as the Spanish Embassy in Italy and the Instituto Cervantes. In 2014 he founded EXIT Media, specialized in the distribution of arthouse cinema, and collaborates with Istituto Luce – Cinecittà for the development of Italy-Argentina co-productions. In 2019, the documentary Goodbye Ringo won in Sitges, with Sartori as screenwriter and executive producer. He has served on international juries and in 2023 he directed the first edition of the IberoAmerican Film Festival in Dublin.
