Global Head of Sovereign Wealth & Pension Funds – IMI CIB – Intesa Sanpaolo
A graduate with full marks in Business Administration in 1992 at Bocconi University, Milan, and a Certified Public Accountant, Paolo started his career in Arthur Andersen as Senior Auditor and Consultant.
Later, he moved to Société Générale as Associate in the corporate finance department. In 2000 he joined ABN AMRO where he headed the Telecoms and Energy sectors for the Italian market in the Investment Banking Division. Following the integration with RBS, he was promoted in 2008 as Head of Italian Corporate Coverage managing the largest relationships of the bank.
He joined Intesa Sanpaolo Group in 2012 with global responsibility for the Energy & Utilities sector, working on the development of the Bank’s International platform. Since July 2017, Paolo has been appointed Head of the Sovereign Wealth & Pension Funds
worldwide coverage. Paolo is an experienced finance professional with over 25 years in investment banking, having
worked on the origination and execution of several landmark deals.
