Giampaolo Malgeri

Giampaolo Malgeri is a professor at LUMSA University. He graduated with honors in Political Science. His thesis in Contemporary History, under the guidance of Prof. Pietro Scoppola, focused on “The opposition of the Italian left to the Atlantic Pact.”

He was a member of the Italian Institute for Africa and the East for 10 years. From June 2010 to June 2012, he was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of International History, serving as Secretary and Treasurer. He is a member of the Society of Friends of the Institute of Ethiopian Studies. Since 2011, he has been a member of the Scientific Committee and coordinator of the Editorial Committee of the journal Res Publica. Journal of International Historical and Political Studies.“ Since 2016, he has been a member of the Editorial Committee of the ”Journal of International Political Studies.“ Since 2018, he has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the journal ”Europea.”

On May 14, 2015, he was appointed full professor (associate professor) for the scientific-disciplinary sector SPS/06 (History of International Relations) at the Department of Economics, Politics, and Modern Languages of the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta, effective October 1, 2015.

On October 2, 2015, he was appointed president of the three-year degree course in International Political Science and Administration at LUMSA University in Rome.
