He founded and has chaired Eurispes since 1982. Over the years he has taught at the University of Rome “Sapienza”, the University of Salerno, the University of Teramo, the Carabinieri Officers School of Rome, LUISS and LUMSA of Rome. From 1999 to 2004 he was President of IPSEMA (Social Security Institute for the Maritime Sector). From 1990 to 2011 he was a member of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italy-USA Foundation, of the Scientific Committee of the Institute for Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of the Scientific Committee of the GNOSIS magazine.
