Giulio Bartolini

Giulio Bartolini is Full Professor of International Law at Roma Tre University, Director of the Roma Tre International Humanitarian Law Legal Clinic, and member of the Board of the European Society of International Law.

He is Coordinator of the Scientific Committee, International Humanitarian Law Section of the Italian Red Cross and a member of the Commission for the Study and Development of International Humanitarian Law established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he scientifically coordinated the drafting of the Voluntary National Report on the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law in Italy (2023), as well as a member of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo.

He currently coordinates the working group established by the Ministry of Defense for the drafting of the Military Manual on International Law Applicable to Military Missions.
He received the Serge Lazareff Prize from NATO SHAPE Legal Command for “excellence in legal service” and the Gold Medal of the Italian Red Cross for his legal support to the Association.
