Gianfranco Gabriele Nucera is a Researcher in international law at the Department of Political Science at Sapienza University. He teaches “Environmental Justice and the Fight Against Climate Change” and “Space Law.” He serves as an expert on international protection and human rights at the Rome Territorial Commission for the Recognition of International Protection, appointed by the UNHCR. After earning his Ph.D. in International Order and Human Rights (26th cohort), he served as a research fellow in international law at the Department of Political Science at Sapienza University. In 2017, he was selected for the research program of the Center for Studies and Research at The Hague Academy of International Law, conducting research on “Information via Satellite: A Human Rights Perspective.” He has participated in various research projects, including the HABITABLE project—“Linking Climate Change, Habitability, and Social Tipping Points: Scenarios for Climate Migration”—funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 program.
