An aeronautical engineer who graduated from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, he has spent thirty years working in the aerospace sector in Italy, France, and the Netherlands, both at private companies and government space agencies, where he has held various managerial positions. He also has extensive experience gained at the Kourou launch site in French Guiana.

In 2023, he was appointed by the Minister Delegate for Space as an expert on the Technical Committee of COMINT, the Italian Government’s Interministerial Committee for Space and Aerospace Policies. He is an adjunct professor in the Master’s and Ph.D. programs in Aerospace Engineering at La Sapienza University, as well as a scientific advisor to the geopolitical journal Limes and a lecturer at the Limes School of Geopolitics.

He is the author of over thirty scientific articles presented at international conferences, the popular science book Lo Spazio oltre la Terra (Giunti), and the textbook Elementi di Management dei Programmi Spaziali (Springer-Verlag), which has also been translated into English and Chinese. He has also published “Geopolitics of Space Exploration” (2019) and “Stellar Capitalism” (2022) for Rubbettino. He writes regularly for Formiche.net and the magazine Airpress. He is a member of the Académie Française de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
