Oliviero Frattolillo is Full Professor of History and Institutions of Asia in the Department of Political Science at Roma Tre University. His research focuses particularly on the history of Japan and China, Sino-Japanese relations, and relations between Europe and East Asia. He is co-editor of the Palgrave Macmillan series New Directions in East Asian History and the author of numerous books and articles on the political, international, and cultural history of East Asia.
