Ambassador Aldo Amati began his diplomatic career in 1987 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following postings in Moscow, London, Washington and Tokyo, he was appointed Deputy Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, and subsequently Spokesperson for the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Emma Bonino. From 2014 to 2018, he served as Italian Ambassador to Prague and, from 2018 to 2022, held the post of Ambassador to Warsaw. Until December 2023, he served as Diplomatic Adviser to the Minister of Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti.
