Executive Director, WWF Italy
Alessandra Prampolini has a background in economics with a focus on international cooperation and development, particularly regarding access to and use of natural resources. After earning her degree, she joined WWF Italy, where she worked on projects related to environmental sustainability and the transformation of production chains. She then spent several years at T6 Ecosystems, a company that conducts research on environmental and social issues.
Deeply interested in the delicate balance between current growth models, human well-being, and the protection of the planet, she has gained extensive experience in building public and private partnerships. She returned to WWF in 2018 and, since January 2021, has served as Director General of WWF Italy. She is committed to ensuring that the organization plays an increasingly prominent role in building a world that places nature and people at the center—a world where responsibility and sustainability are the norm, not the exception, in politics, the economy, and our daily lives.
