The European Diplomat

The current affairs of the European Union’s diplomacy are characterized by 27 member states where each one has its own diplomatic culture and tradition. The history of Europe has enormously contributed to shape diplomat’s activities, but today how may diplomacy differ from country to country?
To answer this question we should probably think to education pathways and skills set that a diplomat will have to know in order to face the challenges of the near future. In fact, on one hand a traditional culture and specific knowledge of diplomacy will have to be preserved; and on the other hand it will probably be useful to include the teaching of new subjects. In particular, what skills will the diplomats of the near future need to have? What kind of preparation should European diplomats have?
