The contemporary world turns out to be more and more difficult to read and the future with more unknowns than certainties. But how is it possible to interpret the current dynamics and intuit possible developments? The volume intends to investigate – through the magnifying glass of science fiction – the close correlation between the multiple aspects chained together (Chains), retracing the complexity of the political, social, cultural and environmental changes (Anthropo) that have very quickly revolutionized the organization of our company. Past, present and future come together thanks to an in-depth reading of the debated narrative genre through geopolitics. To understand the most refined Scifi works it is in fact essential to know the historical events and our anthropocentric present (characterized to a greater extent by the decisions made by man capable of having an impact on natural ecosystems and consequently on all of us). Only in this way will it be possible to identify not only the main message that these works intend to convey, but every little facet of them, giving a new perception to the category, finally freeing it from easy and superficial preconceptions.
