Plenipotentiary Minister. He graduated in International Economics with honors from the University of Rome La Sapienza. In 1989 he began his professional career at the Farnesina at the Directorate General for Political Affairs and then as Head of the Secretariat of the Diplomatic Disputes, Treaties and Legislative Affairs Service. In 1992 he moved to the Italian Embassy in Seoul, where he served as Commercial Secretary until 1996, the year in which he began to serve at the Italian Embassy in London, as Counselor in the political and press sector. In 2000 he returned to the Farnesina at the Press and Information Service, where he held the position of Head of the Foreign Press Office for two years. In 2002 he assumed the role of Deputy Head of the Delegation for the Organization of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. From 2004 to 2007 he served in the Diplomatic Affairs Office of the Presidency of the Republic. In 2007 he was Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau, a position he held for three years. In 2010 he returned to the Farnesina, as Head of the Private Secretariat of the Undersecretary of State and then of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. From 2014 to 2018 he was Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Poland. From 2018 to 2020 he was Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance. From February 2020 to July 2021 he is Director of International Relations of Leonardo SpA. Since January 2021 he has been Deputy Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Since June 1, 2023 he has been Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy.
