Director of the Fusion and Nuclear Safety Technologies Department at ENEA
Graduated in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Rome “Sapienza”, Alessandro Dodaro has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Nuclear Engineering. He has worked at ENEA since 1999 in the nuclear sector, where he is currently Director of the Fusion and Technologies for Nuclear Safety Department: he holds the role of Italian Program Manager in the EUROfusion sector and coordinates ENEA-side activities for the construction of the Divertor Tokamak Test facility; Furthermore, since 2015 it has operated the two main national research reactors. From 2013 to 2020 he was also President of the Board of Directors of Nucleco S.p.A. (private company, controlled by SOGIN and owned by ENEA, for the management of medium and low level radioactive waste deriving from the medical, research and industrial sectors).
