Alessandro Panaro is a transport economist, specialising in ports, shipping and logistics. He is Head of the ‘Maritime & Energy’ Research Division at SRM (a research centre affiliated with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group). He coordinates research projects and reports involving teams from Italian and international universities and research centres. He is the author of articles and essays published in national and international scientific and specialist journals. He teaches on training courses and master’s programmes. He sits on the boards of numerous scientific committees for associations, European projects and think tanks. He is a speaker at numerous national and international conferences, seminars and meetings.
