Professor of Contemporary History, History of the workers’ and trade union movement and Social History at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Pisa. He has taught at numerous Masters and specialization courses in various Italian universities and is the author of numerous publications and articles on the topics of economic history and contemporary economics. He collaborates with the monthly Altreconomia and with the newspaper Il Tirreno. He was mayor of Massa from 2013 to 2018. He wrote “Postglobale world map” (Altreconomia, 2008), “A crisis, many crises” (Pacini, 2009), “Submerged by debt” (Altreconomia, 2011), “Globalization from the cradle to the crisis” (Altreconomia, 2013), “Doing the Italians, without them knowing. Music and politics from the Risorgimento to 1968” (Pacini, 2017).
