Diary of an adventure in deep space (2020) and is the author, among other things, of Under the sign of the lion. History of Muslim Italy (2011), From Sybille’s tears. History of the men who invented the bank (2013), History of the Mediterranean in 20 objects (with A. Vanoli, 2018), History of the world. From the year 1000 to the present day (with F. Canale Cama and L. Mascilli Migliorini, 2019) and The enemies of the Italians (2020).
