Andrea Cangini, 56 years old, married to Eva, father of Giulia and Niccolò. Graduated in Political Sciences in Bologna (110/110) supervisor Angelo Panebianco. A professional journalist since 1995, he has been director of Resto del Carlino and the national newspaper since October 2014. In March 2018 he was elected senator of the republic with Forza Italia in the Marche constituency. He was group leader in the Senate Culture Committee, vice-president of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into illegal gaming, member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and vice-president of the related technological trends and security commission.
On 20 July 2022 he was the only centre-right senator to vote of confidence in Mario Draghi. Since November of the same year he has acted as General Secretary of the Luigi Einaudi Foundation, where he founded the Paper, Pen & Digital Observatory in defense of cursive handwriting and reading on paper. He collaborates with Huffington Post and La Ragione.
