Giusandrea Mochi Onory di Saluzzo was born in Perugia in September 1943, and studied in Milan and Rome. A career diplomat, he was Ambassador to Copenhagen and before that to Oslo and Rejkiavik. He was in Vienna, in Tunis, in Munich. At the Quirinale for the entire seven-year term of President Pertini. He directed the Diplomatic Institute, responsible for the training and updating of diplomatic officials and Foreign Ministry staff. In the multilateral field he followed the work of the United Nations in New York and of the MBFR (Multilateral Balance Forces Redaction) Conference. He was responsible for the problems of Italian minorities abroad and foreign minorities in Italy. Freelance lecturer in International Law, he has taught at the Universities of Milan, Genoa, Gorizia (Trieste) and Munich. Now retired, he is president of the National Association of Retired Diplomats.
