Full professor of contemporary history
Deputy Director of the Department of Legal and Political Sciences Andrea Ungari (Rome, 1971) is full professor of contemporary history at the Faculty of Letters of the Guglielmo Marconi University, where he also teaches history of international relations. He is an adjunct professor of Theory and History of Political Parties and Movements at the Luiss Guido Carli University, where he was a Research Fellow and Assistant Professor and where he taught Comparative History of European Political Systems and History of International Relations. He is co-director of the magazine “Nuova Rivista Storica” and “XXI Secolo”. Director and member of the Board of Directors of the Ugo Spirito and Renzo De Felice Foundation. He was Co-coordinator of the European Project “Italy and the deportation of Jews to the occupied territories during the Second World War 1939-45”, within the Europe for Citizens Programme, Luiss-Guido Carli University. Visiting Professor at the Institute for Recent History of Serbia (March-August 2017) and member of the Doctoral Board of Guglielmo Marconi University. He is an officer in the Italian Army Reserve, with the rank of Major. Collaborator of the Army Study Center and the Defense Innovation Center, he has carried out a series of roles within the Italian Armed Forces.
