Deputy Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Economics and Finance
Graduated in Law from the Sapienza University of Rome. Since 1982 he has been a parliamentary advisor to the Senate of the Republic. From 1989 to 1992 he was Director of the Secretarial Service and of the Assembly. In May 1992 he was appointed by the Presidential Council as Deputy Secretary General of the Senate responsible for coordinating the Area parliamentarian. From November 2002 to February 2011 he was General Secretary of Senate. On 9 February 2011 he was appointed State Councilor. In November 2011 he was called by Prime Minister Monti to hold the position of Undersecretary of State for Relations with Parliament. Following the formation of the new Government, he returned to the roles of the Council of State from May to October 2013. A cassation lawyer, he was a legal advisor, free of charge, at the Ministry of Economic Development. Since September 2016 he has been Deputy Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Economics and Finance free of charge. He is the author of several publications on the topics of Constitutional, Parliamentary and Comparative Law.
