He holds the position of Senior Researcher at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (ISMed) of the National Research Council (CNR). His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Economics and Social Studies from the University of Manchester and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Namibia.
He has an in-depth knowledge of the socioeconomic dynamics of the African continent, gained over twenty years of experience, during which he has combined academic research with the implementation and evaluation of development projects in the field, within the framework of international cooperation.
He continues his collaboration with the University of Namibia as a part-time lecturer in the Master’s in Development Studies. His current research interests focus on the analysis of the interconnections between migration and economic development, with a specific focus on the implications of climate change and the energy transition.
