Carlo Musso

Carlo Musso is Head of Research at Leonardo, an Italian multinational high-tech company operating in the aerospace, defense, and security sectors.
Born in Rome in 1966, he holds a degree in physics, is married with one child, and was first a researcher at the Institute of Cosmic Physics of the National Research Council (CNR) and later coordinator of scientific programs at the Italian Space Agency. He was an adjunct professor at LUISS ‘Guido Carli’.
He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of International Affairs (Rome), a member of the Board of the NATO Defense College Foundation (Rome), and a member of Chatham House (London).
He has published the novels Nell’ora che non sai (Firenze Libri 1999), Il segno di Jonas (De Ferrari 2002), Delitti dal vangelo secondo Giovanni (Fratelli Frilli 2004, finalist for the ‘Premio Tedeschi’ 2003), Sede vacante (Fratelli Frilli 2006), Meridiano di Greenwich (Caosfera 2013) and the short story Flashback (Lo scheletro nell’armadio, Montegrappa Edizioni 2019). His short story Fil rouge was a finalist for the ‘XXXVII Gran Giallo Città di Cattolica’ (2010) and ‘GialloLuna NeroNotte’ (2015) awards.
