Head of the Customs Directorate – Customs and Monopolies Agency
Claudio Oliviero has been Director of the Central Customs Directorate of the Customs and Monopolies Agency since 2023. In 2018 he was given the task of directing the Sicily Territorial Directorate and then, in 2022, the Campania Territorial Directorate.
Between 2000 and 2002 he attended the course for public managers at the Higher School of Public Administration and returned to the Customs Agency, holding management positions in important operational offices, including the customs of Fiumicino Airport.
Graduated in Political Sciences and specialized in Economics of the Agro-food System, after an experience as an analyst-programmer in an important Italian company, he entered the customs administration in 1993 where he worked as an official in technical-customs matters until 1999 , dealing with controls and accounting.
