Davide Bergami

Davide Bergami is a partner at Studio Legale Tributario EY, a leading Italian tax law firm operating in the EY network. Davide has over 30 years’ experience advising Italian and foreign multinationals on international tax issues, including corporate reorganisations, supply chain and negotiations with tax agencies in various jurisdictions.

He graduated with honours from the Università Cattolica del ‘Sacro Cuore’ in Milan and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor. In 1999 he took the opportunity of an international secondment at EY in Amsterdam representing Italy in global projects. In 2001 he was appointed equity partner of EY, combining over time his professional activities with managerial and teaching assignments.

Davide has held various executive roles including: EY Mediterranean Energy Leader, member of the Mediterranean Leadership Team (Italy, Spain, Portugal), Business Development Leader for EY Italy, board member of EY Tax Law Firm, Tax&Law Market Leader Italy.

Davide has also participated in various international executive trainings, including: London School of Economics – Summer School (London, 2000); Kellogg School of Management (Chicago 2011); INSEAD (Johannesburg 2014); London Business School (London 2017); Limes School in Government and Geopolitics (Rome 2021).

He is regularly cited by International Tax Review (ITR) as one of Italy’s top transfer pricing specialists. Awarded in London as Transfer Pricing Practice of the Year in 2007 and 2021. Davide and team have also been repeatedly awarded by Legalcommunity in 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2023.

Over time he has developed an intense teaching activity in various contexts including: Scuola di Polizia Economico Finanziaria (SPEF) of Guardia di Finanza; OECD International Academy at Guardia di Finanza (Ostia); Scuola Superiore dell’Economia e delle Finanze currently SNA), Master Fiscalità Internazionale Università Bocconi; Università Cattolica, University of Florence, LUMSA and LUM Jean-Monnet Bari. He was a member of the International Tax Law Commission at the Order of Chartered Accountants of Milan where he taught at the School of Higher Education.
