Elena Grech graduated in Law from the University of Malta, began her career in the Maltese diplomatic corps and was part of the team of negotiators for Malta’s accession to the EU in 2004. Since 2007, a European official, she has held various positions as head of unit at the European Commission and was head of the European Representation in Malta. She is currently Deputy Director of the European Commission Representation in Rome.
