Giorgio Vallortigara is professor of Neuroscience at the Center for Mind-Brain Sciences of the University of Trento, of which he was also director. He is the author of more than 300 scientific articles in international journals (with over 30,000 citations) and numerous popular books, the most recent “Thoughts of the Fly with the Crooked Head” (2021) and “Kant’s Chick” (2023) both published by Adelphi. In addition to scientific research, it carries out an intense dissemination activity, collaborating with the cultural pages of various newspapers and magazines, such as Il Sole 24 Ore, Prometeo, la Lettura and Le Scienze.
