Ilaria Cinelli

PhD, FAsMA, is a senior engineer known for her achievements in biomedical engineering and space exploration. She holds a BSc from the University of Pisa and a PhD from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Ilaria completed a space studies programme at the International Space University and a postdoc at Tufts University. Recognised as a member of the Aerospace Medical Association, she has conducted numerous similar missions and is a board member of the Mars Society. Ilaria is also an AdCOM member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and has served on the AsMA Council since 2018. A mentor of the United Nations Space4Women network, she has been recognised by La Repubblica, Il Sole24Ore and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 2023, the European Patent Office awarded her as one of the 50 technology voices in Europe, the only representative of healthcare and space exploration.
