Born in Bad Gastein in Austria, at the foothills of the High Tauern, she lives between Ancona and Castelnuovo di Farfa in Sabina. She teaches German at the Polytechnic University of Marche, works as translator and writes occasionally about mountain: she published “Il Mistero delle Tre Vette. Austriaci e tedeschi sul Gran Sasso dal 1875 al 1910” (Iter Edizioni, 2012) and “Alpinismo e arrampicata e in Provincia di Ancona 1932-2007” (Edizioni Aniballi, 2009), as well as several articles for the magazine Meridiani Montagne. Polyglot traveller, alpinist, mountain biker and ski mountaineer, in Europe she has covered by foot, riding a mountain bike and on skis the most important mountain ranges of Austria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Northern Macedonia. Among the experiences outside Europe, the most important have been the ski climb of Toubkal in Morocco, the climbing of Gondogoro Peak in Pakistan and a long trekking across Mustang in Nepal.
