Karla Wursterová

Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Italy since 2021

She graduated in business administration from the Bratislava University of Economics, Wursterová completed postgraduate studies in international relations at the prestigious ENA Ecole Nationale d’Administration in Paris.
In 1998 she worked in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, then moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After two years she served a four-year term as second secretary at the Embassy in Prague (2005-2009), working on foreign policy and security. In 2010 she was appointed director of the Development Assistance and Humanitarian Aid Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bratislava. In August 2012 she was the executive director of the International Visegrad Fund, an international donor organization that promotes the development of closer cooperation between the countries of the Visegrad Group, which is based in Bratislava.
