Laura Carpini

MAECI

She was born in 1966 in Italy and graduated in 1992 in Political Sciences at the Faculty of Political Sciences “Cesare Alfieri” in Florence, with 110/110 cum laude.
She boasts a long career at MAECI. At the moment, she is the Head of the Cyber Space Policies and Security Unit at the MAECI and President of the DID, Italian Diplomatic Women and Managers Association. In the past, she held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She was Vice Consul at the Consulate General of Italy in New York, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Italy in Cuba, Head of the Office for Human Rights, First Counselor of the Embassy of Italy in India and Ambassador to Ghana and Togo. She also held the role of Diplomatic Advisor to the Mayor for the Metropolitan City of Florence from 2017 to 2019.
