Luisa Del Turco

Graduated in Political Sciences, Livia Del Turco obtained a PhD in State Theory and Comparative Political Institutions, and a specialization in Peacekeeping and Security Studies. For over 20 years she has been carrying out training, advocacy and consultancy activities in conflict management and peace interventions, collaborating with universities, research centers and non-profit organizations.

Director of the Civil Defense Study Center – APS association, she participates in working groups and civil society networks active at a national, regional and global level.

Coordinator and teacher of the Higher Education Course for Women in Peace and Mediation at Sapienza University of Rome.

Livia Del Turco is registered with the roster of Women, Peace, and Security experts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and has actively contributed to the definition of national policies on the matter.

She is the author of articles and essays on topics related to international peace and security and the gender approach in conflict and post-conflict situations.
