Luca Giansanti, Ambassador, Head of Eni’s relations with the European Union, based in Brussels from 2019 to 2024, formerly Director-General for Political and Security Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (2014–2018). His previous roles include: Deputy Director-General for European Integration, Director-General for Multilateral Political Cooperation and Human Rights, Ambassador to the EU Political and Security Committee in Brussels, and Ambassador to Tehran.
He is currently senior advisor and analyst for ISPI on the Middle East and North Africa.
