Luigi Ruggerone

After completing his postgraduate studies in Economics in the United Kingdom, joined Banca Commerciale Italiana in 1996, working in Milan for the Research Department and later for the Risk Management Department.

In 2013, together with his wife Alessandra and his children Luca and Sara, Luigi moved to Washington DC to work at the International Monetary Fund, where he helped author several editions of the Global Financial Stability Report until 2015.

In October 2015, he rejoined the Intesa Sanpaolo group with the goal of opening and managing the new representative office in Washington DC.

On October 1, 2018, he was appointed Head of Innovation Business Development at Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, a new company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group based in Turin, entirely dedicated to scouting, accelerating, and supporting innovative technologies.

From July 1, 2019, Luigi was promoted to Director of Research and Development at Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.

In February 2023, Luigi took on the responsibility of Senior Director for the Business and Innovation Research area of ISPIC, reporting to the Board of Directors.
